Maintenance 101: How to Clean and Extend the Life of Your Chair
The Gist: You wouldn’t leave a leather jacket in the sun for a year, so don't treat your massage chair like a piece of garage furniture. This guide covers the basics of synthetic leather care and how to keep the internal motors running smooth for the long haul.
Think of your massage chair like a luxury vehicle or a premium sofa; a little bit of upkeep goes a long way. If you notice the leather starting to crack or the rollers getting a bit noisy, you’re usually missing one of these three simple steps:
-
Wipe it down: Once a week, use a damp cloth (water only) paired with our our official serum cleaner to gently remove dust and skin oils. Avoid harsh chemicals, as they strip the protective coating and can lead to cracking over time.
-
The Sunlight Rule: Never place your chair in direct, harsh sunlight. UV rays are the number one killer of synthetic leather; they make it brittle faster than anything else.
-
The 30-Minute Cap: These motors are powerful, but they aren't meant to run for three hours straight. Let the chair rest for 30 minutes between back-to-back sessions to keep the internal fans cool.
If you treat it like a piece of high-end furniture rather than an appliance, you’ll easily add years to its lifespan.
